I love Sister Hinckley!!! Here are some of her sayings that I share the same feelings on.... How grateful I am for the gospel and the assurance that even friendships are eternal. Sisters, we are all in this together. We need each other. Oh, how we need each other. It is a sociological fact that women need women. We need deep and satisfying and loyal friendships with each other. These friendships are a necessary source of sustenance.
This is so true! I was thinking today about how thankful I am for my sweet, precious friendships! You are all dear to me! What a blessing to know we have each other and that we can be there to strengthen, uplift, encourage, and laugh together!!! It truly blesses my life to be able to lean on Sisterhood! And believe me it is extra important to me since I live with a house full of boys :) Sisterhood is AWESOME!!

I love Sister Hinckley! Thanks for sharing that quote!
I ditto your feelings and Sister Hinckley's message! We're all in this together, so why not make it easier on everyone by being a good friend! Ladies unite! Ha.
I think that's something I needed to be reminded of. Thanks!
Yep, I love having friends too! And Sis. Hinckley's smile is so cute, isn't it?
I had her book... it was a lovely read.
Sisterhood is AWESOME!! I NEVER thought I would serve in a Relief Society calling until I was, well--let's say more seasoned, but yet here I am the 2nd Counselor in the Presidency and I LOVE IT!!
And isn't Sister Hinckley just ADORABLE?!
Good stuff.
She was just so down to earth and made you feel so special and needed and strong. I just love her too.
Sister Hinckley is so danged adorable. I love her and her sweet husband. He will always be one of my most favorite prophets. Although they're all pretty darn cool! And you're right...we need each other. And the strength we draw from each other is priceless! GROUP HUG!!!!!!!!!!!
Gosh, I have been through so much in my life and I don't know how I could have handled it without my sistah's!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a kind comment!
I absolute LOVE yours and will definitely be back!!
I love the book by her daughter--the name has slipped my mind now. But it is excellent.
I love Sister Hinckley. Thanks for the reminder that we women really do need each other. No one understands us quite like ... us!
Thanks for commenting!
I love sister Hinckley as well, I know I wouldn't have made it through all my travels without the sisters of the church. Thanks!
This is so very, very true!
Amen Sistah!!!

A wonderful quote from a wonderful lady! I'm so glad you dropped by Rosehaven Cottage and hope you come by often so we can get to know one another.

I'm glad you let me know where your new blog is. You are so sweet, always leaving me such nice comments! I'll add this to my Reader now. :)
Great post. I agree, we do need each other. I think that's part of the reason I love blogging so much. There's a great support network here.
Sister Hinkley is terrific. I have a video of a speech she gave at a women's conference and it's more like a comedy routine.
I love blogging. Since I live so far away from women who I can understand well (because of either language or cultural differences) blogging is a very important part of my life, and I totally feel the sisterhood here!!
I am still clueless as to who this is. But I'm going to keep commenting out of sheer curiosity.
It's so true that women need women. I'm always looking for a good friendship.
I love Sister Hinckley. There was such wosdom about her. I loved it when she spoke of their courtship.
I totally agree. I never had sisters, so growing up I had to rely on my friends. Now, I have great friends and some sister-in-laws who are what make my life so much easier. We really do all need each other.
Your new blog looks great. Thanks for stopping by mine.
*hugs*
Sisterhood is Awesome! I love sitting in RS sometimes and looking around and thinking that all of these other women are like me in the ways that matter. They all want to make good choices and follow the plan and be better wives and mothers. It is very powerful!
Sister Hinckley was the sweetest. Thanks for the quote.
I am so thankful to have you as my friend! Sisterhood is very important.
I love this woman! I hope she is one of the people I get to meet in the life here after!
Thanks. You're right.
I agree! And the sisters I've met through blogging are at the top of my list.
Cool blog! What do you call yourself? My name is Dolly-and I'm listed now as your blog buddy! :)
Thanks! Your Awesome!
So why are you trying to stay calm?
I just love Sister Hinckley. She is so inspiring!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm so glad you like it.
All I can say is, "Amen."
The blog-o-sphere has just expanded that joy further. What a blessing to blog and grow closer to others around the world!
Her sweet face just makes me smile. That quote is so true. I know I can't do it alone. I am so grateful for my friends -- 'real' and 'bloggy'.
Hey there! Thanks for following Tender Mercies. Glad you like it. I think I may have already sent you to my "main" blog, The World According to the Little Fish. That one gets more traffic, and I post more often. Visit mina-anne.blogspot.com
Hope to see you again ...
Sisterhood truly is Awesome! Thank You for this beautiful reminder!
Yes, sisters are so important! Have you read any of the Yada Yada Prayer Group books? I love them, because they show just how powerful women in prayer can be.
You are so correct. One of the greatest honors of my life is to be one of 5 sisters. I know you are talking in the broader sense as well. I miss Sister H. What an amazing woman she was.
Sister Hinkley is awesome.
I really think she is truly beautiful.
I also love her quote about how she wants to pull up to heaven in a dirty station wagon with dirt and peanut butter on her hands.
(I may have to look that one up so I can post it).
I am so glad you are following my blog.
I'll be back to see you too.
