I say it is snoring. Not sure who it is coming from though.
My guess is that it is someone with asthma breathing in a tape recorder? Do they still make those? Okay some recording device.

Sounds like snoring to me, is that you??? You wouldn't snore would you? Then again, you are the only female in your home and I am not sure a man would grab a recording of that, so maybe it's your husband ... or could it be your dog??? Maybe I'll play it safe and go with the dog.

oh my..that seems like a very creepy noise. Could it possible be a sick person wheezing? Sounds like someone with a cold who is having a very hard time breathing! This is hard...oh well at least I tried!!!

Yay! I'm the first! Well at first it sounded a little like a mini darth vader but after listening to it longer... I think I know. I hear it every night but in a lower tone. Is it snoring? It sounds like a small one snoring but could it be a dog snoring?

It is midnight, you are asleep in your bed, with your eyes closed ~ that is why it is so dark. This noise is your child having an Asthma Attack. Not a very cheery guess, but it is my guess all the same.
