Laughter...

"The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache."

  3. Perfect quote!!! My father taught me early on that many times in our lives we will either want to laugh or cry. he told me this: "In our family...we prefer to laugh." of course then he pushed me into the pool, but I choose to laugh as well.

  4. I need to remember to Laugh, especially at work when co-workers need to remind to breath. I should tell them to tell me to LAUGH, I might actually DO IT!!!

    Thanks

Crying makes my eyes hurt and I get a stuffy nose. Go figure.

  16. Wonderful post! That's how I've been approaching life for quite some time - and it does work. If I hadn't been able to laugh at life and keep an upbeat attitude, this past year would have been unbearable.

I have a quote that I have as part of my email signature that reads "If you laugh at your troubles, you'll always be smiling." I don't know who authored it, but it is very accurate.

  21. That is so true. Crying makes the face look awful (especially if you do the ugly cry).
After watching the interview last night that Barbara Walters did with Patrick Swayze and his battle with cancer, and he still laughs. I feel so lucky to be pretty healthy.

  25. When my grandma had Alzheimers, there wer times she'd do something so crazy, I was like a bad comedy. I'd feel so horrible laughing, but my aunt told me the same thing ... we laugh or we cry. It's a good lesson for things silly and serious.

  53. Hi!

For many years and through much adversity, when people have asked me how I can "stay so positive", I have always replied "you either have laugh or cry".

I always thought this was just a "saying".

I never realized it was an actual quote that could be attributed to someone. :)

Thanks for the great quote. (I love quotes)! Attitude really matters.

Also, thanks for visiting my blog the other day! :)

    Peace,

    Jeanne
