Chili's Wild or Mild Review and Giveaway...

On the new Wild or Mild part of their menu they have added new menu items. The Diamond Edition debut of BAMBI, Walt’s fifth full-length animated classic, is an endearing tale about a young prince of the forest who learns valuable life-lessons about friendship, love, and the miracle of life. The movie is a must-own coming-of-age story that Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has especially packaged with families in mind - providing the ultimate, interactive hi-def home entertainment experience with a newly enhanced digital restoration, enhanced picture and sound, games, activities and more.


The new BAMBI Diamond Edition will be available as a 2-Disc Disney Combo Pack. Those who wish to own the standard definition DVD version of BAMBI will need to wait seven additional weeks – until April 19, 2011.


Disney’s new “Second Screen” technology, which is being introduced for the very first time on the BAMBI Diamond Edition release, will further transform the at-home movie watching experience by empowering viewers with the ability to engage with film content on multiple media platforms and bring them to life in their own hands at the touch of a button. Film Synopsis:

As morning light breaks across the meadow, a young deer named Bambi is born and hailed as ‘Prince of the Forest.’ Soon Bambi emerges from the thicket on wobbly legs, much to the delight of his new friends, Thumper, the playful rabbit, and Flower, the bashful yet lovable skunk. But the fun of nibbling on fresh blossoms and frolicking through the woods is only the beginning. Exploring his new world, and guided by the wisdom of Friend Owl,Bambi learns valuable life lessons with every adventure – experiencing the power of friendship, family, and love along the away.

The Making of the Film:

BAMBI was Walt Disney’s fifth animated full-length feature film which released in 1942 during World War II and took approximately five years in the making due to the exquisite artwork and attention to detail of each and every scene, character and figure.  The artwork itself was created by some of the legendary “nine old men,” including Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston, Marc Davis, Milt Kahl and Eric Larson and in order to achieve the film’s unprecedented level of realism, animators modeled anatomical studies using live animals (including a pair of fawns named Bambi and Faline) and imbued each with a uniquely endearing personality. Bambi’s delightful forest home received the same painstaking attention to detail, as background artists painted hundreds of landscapes based on extensive field research and nature photographs. 

Walt Disney broke the longstanding animation tradition by casting child actors in the roles of Bambi’s young animals, including Bobby Stewart as Baby Bambi, Donnie Dunagan as Young Bambi, Hardie Albright as Adolescent Bambi and Peter Behn as Young Thumper. The cast also includes Sam Edwards as Adult Thumper, John Sutherland as Adult Bambi, Paula Winslowe as Bambi’s Mother and Sterling Holloway (the voice of Winnie the Pooh and The Jungle Book’s Kaa, the snake) as Adult Flower.

Our Review...
Bambi is a classic that never gets old. We love this movie. Thumper is so funny, he had us laughing for the first half of the movie. His mom keeps saying, "what does your father say" and then says, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say nothing at all". I liked it when thumper says he's kinda wobbly talking about Bambi when first trying to walk. 


It's cute watching Thumper teach Bambi to talk. It's kinda sad when the forest catches on fire from humans that left a camp fire unattended. But it was fun watching Bambi grow up and fall in love, then in the end Bambi has two children of his own. This is a really fun movie to watch with the family. We love that they remade this movie on Blu-ray. The picture quality is the best. There are a ton of special features too.

Sarris Candies Review...

Thanks to Sarris Candies we were excited to be able to try their new Pretzel Slims!

Big on taste, small on calories, this 100 Calorie Pretzel Slim package is perfect. These chocolate covered pretzels are a guilt free treat. Since I love chocolate these are awesome for home or a snack on the go. These packages come as an individual serving which is great. I was impressed with how fresh and yummy they are!

UNSTOPPABLE Review...

Unstoppable is a fast paced movie based on true events. We really enjoyed this movie on Blu-ray. There are some pretty intense scenes like when the runaway train is heading right for a train load of school age kids on a field trip, it barely misses them. Then the train is heading towards another train driven by Denzel Washington and Chris Pine, they have to try to make it to a side track before the runaway train slams into them head on.

They barely make it as the runaway train clips the last car. What a close call! so Washington and Pine decide they are the only hope to stop this train so they start chasing down the train to hook onto the back of it and stop it from behind. You are on the edge of your seat watching them hook up to this train and try to stop it. This is a great movie to see.

There are a ton of Blu-ray special features like; The fast track: unleashing unstoppable, Derailed: anatomy of a scene, Hanging off the track: stunt work and much, much more.

Miche Designer Handbags Review...

I am so excited to share with you my designer handbags review! I love bags and Miche lets me change the look of my bag fast and easy to match each one of my outfits!

For Valentine's Day I am excited to use the Scarlet shell shown above. This shell is a deep rich elegant red that I love.

The Kelly above is great since I wear a lot of brown. I also like the side pockets for my keys and cell phone.

The Elizabeth shell is so elegant. It's going to be perfect with my new black outfit.

The Whitney is a pewter ostrich faux leather. This shell is so classy looking. It also has the side pockets which are great.

Next I want to tell you about the awesome Mini Miche Bag! This bag is perfect for a night out when I don't need to carry as much with me. They have lots of fun shells for this mini bag as well. 

Miche also has some really fun accessories! The Soft Wallet comes in a beautiful bronze color. I love all that this wallet holds.

 

I also got the Purse Organizer shown above. I love that this will help keep all my things nice and organized inside my bag.
