Our Review...

E.T. is a classic movie that everyone enjoys. We were excited to get this movie on Blu-ray! We have always loved E.T. This movie makes you laugh and cry and feel happy. I loved when Drew Barrymore meets E.T. and she screams, then he screams, then everyone starts screaming. It's hilarious! We felt bad when E.T. starts to die but then Elliot finds out E.T.'s ship is coming to take him home. We were rooting for all the boys as they kid napped E.T. to take him to the forest to go home. This is one of Steven Spielberg's best movies and it will be handed down through my family for generations to come.

There are so many special features on the Blu-ray it will keep you busy for hours. I loved watching Steven Spielberg & E.T. Steven talks about making E.T. You also get to see behind the scenes from when the movie was made. There are deleted scenes and plenty more.

Our Review...

Moonrise Kingdom is a fun film about young love and how people take drastic measures to be with each other when they are in love. Bill Murray and Bruce Willis are great actors and they are funny in this movie. I like the scene when Walt Bishop (Bill Murray) is stressed out about the way his daughter has been acting. He walks to the closet and grabs an ax then tells his other kids he'll be in the back yard, he's going to find a tree to chop down. It's touching at the end when the young boy is going to be sent to an orphanage but Captain Sharp (Bruce Willis) says he wants to adopt him so he can stay with him.

There are some good special features on the Blu-ray also. A look inside Moonrise Kingdom and the set tour with Bill Murray are fun to watch. Welcome to the Island of New Penzance, talks about some of the characters in the film.

People Like Us Blu-ray Review...

From the studio that brought you the award-winning blockbuster “The Help,” comes an emotional and inspirational story about a young man’s journey of self discovery as he connects with a family he barely knows.  Starring Chris Pine (Star Trek), Elizabeth Banks (Hunger Games), Olivia Wilde (Tron) and Michelle Pfeiffer (Dark Shadows), DreamWorks Pictures releases “People Like Us” - a must-own, heartfelt and relatable story - on Blu-ray™ Combo Pack, DVD, Digital and On-Demand on October 2, 2012.

Inspired by true life events, the “People Like Us” Blu-ray Combo Pack comes complete with bonus material that delves deeper into the story that inspired the making of this great film. These extras include audio commentary with filmmakers and talent, an extended scene of L.A.’s popular Henry Taco Stand featured in the film, deleted scenes and bloopers.

People Like Us” is directed/produced by Alex Kurtzman (Cowboys & Aliens, The Proposal, Star Trek, TV’s “Hawaii Five-O”), written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci (Transformers, Star Trek, Cowboys & Aliens) and Jody Lambert (her first writing debut) and composed by award-winning composer A.R. Rahman (127 Hours, Slumdog Millionaire). Chris Pine, who plays Sam, is a twenty-something, fast-talking salesman whose latest deal collapses the day he learns his father has suddenly died. Against his wishes, Sam is called home to put his father’s estate in order and reconnect with his estranged family. While there, he uncovers a startling secret that turns his entire world upside down — he has a 30-year-old sister (Banks) he never knew existed.

Release Date: October 2, 2012
Ratings:U.S.: PG-13 / Canada: PG (bonus not rated)

Our Review...

This movie is full of drama and comedy. I liked to see Sam's character evolve. He starts off being selfish and all about himself but by the end of the movie he cares about the rest of his family. I kept wanting Sam (Chris Pine) to tell Frankie (Elizabeth Banks) that he was her brother but he wouldn't tell her and I knew she would be mad when he finally did tell her. But then she forgave him and everything worked out. I loved the ending when they are watching the home movie filmed by their dad. That was a pretty cool ending. You'll have to watch the movie to see what I mean. This is a good movie.

There are some pretty good special features too. It was cool to find out that when they were shooting the Taco scene a lot of those lines were made on the spot by Chris Pine and Elizabeth's real childhood. I liked watching the story behind People like us. The bloopers are always fun to watch too.

About Cinderella: Everyone orders Cinderella around: her cruel stepmother, her awful stepsisters -- even the big clock in the church tower tells her when to start another day of drudgery. But they can't stop her from dreaming, and Cinderella has faith that someday her wishes will come true. When an invitation to the royal ball arrives, Cinderella is sure her time has come -- until her stepsisters, with the encouragement of Lady Tremaine, tear her gown to shreds. Just when Cinderella believes all is lost, her Fairy Godmother appears, and with a wave of her wand and “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo,” transforms an ordinary pumpkin into a magnificent coach and Cinderella’s rags into a gorgeous gown, then sends her off to the Royal Ball. But Cinderella’s enchanted evening must end when the spell is broken at midnight. It will take the help of her daring animal mice friends and a perfect fit into a glass slipper to create the ultimate fairy tale ending.

Our Review...

Cinderella is a classic film that will never get old. We were so excited to see this come out on Blu-ray! I grew up watching Cinderella. My kids have all loved it and I know it will be a huge hit when I have grand kids too. I always feel bad for Cinderella when I see her step mother and step sisters treat her badly. Then when the Fairy Godmother comes in and turns her into a princess for the night you can't help but smile and feel happy for Cinderella. She deserves to be treated like a princess.

There are tons of special features too. Behind the Magic: A New Disney Princess Fantasy land is really good, also the real Fairy Godmother, an alternate opening and much more. As a bonus, Tangled Ever After short is included. If you liked Tangled you'll love seeing the short film. It will keep you laughing as Rapunzel is just about to get married their rings get lost and the comedy ensues.

This is a must own for sure! Check out all the fun Cinderella coloring pages, activities, games,  recipes and more below...
