Pick your books giveaway...

I have several books that I get to give away. So if you would like to win one of the books below please leave me a comment on this post by May 5th telling me which book or books you would like to be in the drawing for. I will post the winners on May 6th.
Mrs. Meyers Clean Home:
No-Nonsense Advice that Will Inspire You to CLEAN like the DICKENS
When Thelma Meyer tells it to you, she tells it straight: Clean the kitchen daily! Don't waste anything (not even the water leftover from those potatoes you just boiled)! Always work hard! This philosophy meant that when Thelma's daughter Monica founded Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day products (named after her mom), the products were designed to work hard for you. Now for the first time, Thelma's sage advice is being made available in this revolutionary cleaning guide chock full of practical tips and secrets based on the premise that life is hectic and messy -- and so keeping your house clean and nice is the only sensible thing to do. With shortcuts and tips for cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room, MRS MEYER'S CLEAN HOME contains unexpected advice such as:

--Never use vinegar and water on wood floors. One part dish soap and four parts water is the only way to truly get them clean. And remember to buff with a terrycloth towel. --Always clean out the fridge before grocery shopping. Serve the kids "Musko" ("must go") for dinner, using the items that were fast approaching expiration. --Wash windows on a cloudy day to avoid the nasty streaking that happens when the sun's out and glass dry too fast.

Thanks to Hachette Book Company I get to give away five copies of this book! (Only residents of the US or Canada are eligible. No PO boxes, please.)

Deadly Treasure by Jillayne Clements
A treasure map. A locket. Murder. Deceit.

None of these things are on Lexi’s mind when she returns home to Park City, Utah, for her grandfather’s funeral. That is, until she stumbles across an old diary while cleaning out his attic. Soon Lexi’s head is filled with tales of hidden treasure buried deep in the mines of the Uintah Mountains.

When the diary is stolen and Lexi realizes her life is in danger, she decides to find out if the stories are true. She heads to the Uintahs in search of the secret mine, with her handsome friend Brad by her side. What they don’t know is that someone is following them, someone who will stop at nothing to get the treasure. Soon Lexi and Brad are in a fight for their lives, just as they are starting to realize that there may be more to their relationship than they originally thought.

With surprising twists around every corner, expect the unexpected in this thrilling tale of adventure, romance, and mystery.

Thanks to Jillayne Clements I get to give away one copy of this book!

The Time-Starved Family by DeAnne Flynn

You’re busy. Your spouse is busy. Your children are busy. So when do you find time to spend together as a family? Is it possible to foster individual interests and talents in your children while still focusing on the things that will bring you the greatest rewards as a family?

As a mother of seven children, DeAnne Flynn has experienced firsthand the challenge of staying balanced in a world where jam-packed calendars have taken a huge toll on family time. The sixteen practical ideas in this book will help families break out of the hectic, overscheduled, underconnected way of life that has become the norm for both parents and children. Her sensible and realistic approach will help relieve anxiety, encourage self-reliance in kids, and restore order and simplicity to daily family life. Isn’t it time to refocus your energy on the best choices for your family?

Thanks to DeAnne Flynn I get to give away one copy of this book!

Please no zits! by Anne Bradshaw

~and other short stories for LDS youth~

Suzie is tragically torn between two difficult choices: pleasing her non-LDS boyfriend, or listening to her parents.

Oliver, back at home in England after his Texas mission, finds nothing is going right. Surprisingly, help comes from an ostrich, worms, a spiky-haired biker, and Gilly.

And Bryce discovers that finding a date in a small New Jersey ward seems totally impossible. Then ... bananas?

Thanks to Anne Bradshaw I get to give away one copy of this book!

Jantsen's Gift by Pam Cope

Nine years ago, Pam Cope owned a cozy hair salon in the tiny town of Neosho, Missouri, and her life revolved around her son's baseball games, her daughter's dance lessons, and family trips to places like Disney World. She had never been out of the country, nor had she any desire to travel far from home.

Then, on June 16th, 1999, her life changed forever with the death of her 15-year-old son from an undiagnosed heart ailment.

Needing to get as far away as possible from everything that reminded her of her loss, she accepted a friend's invitation to travel to Vietnam, and, from the moment she stepped off the plane, everything she had been feeling since her son's death began to shift. By the time she returned home, she had a new mission: to use her pain to change the world, one small step at a time, one child at a time. Today, she is the mother of two children adopted from Vietnam. More than that, she and her husband have created a foundation called "Touch A Life," dedicated to helping desperate children in countries as far-flung as Vietnam, Cambodia and Ghana.

Pam Cope's story is on one level a moving, personal account of loss and recovery, but on a deeper level, it offers inspiration to anyone who has ever suffered great personal tragedy or those of us who dream about making a difference in the world.

Thanks to Hachette Book Company I get to give away five of this book! (Only residents of the US or Canada are eligible. No PO boxes)

The Butterfly Box: A Modest Proposal
by Michele Bell
All my life I had dreamed of changing the ordinary girl's world of fashion by designing modest formal gowns — ones that you'd actually want to wear. With my super-hero stitching I would save you mothers and daughters crying in dressing rooms over yet another "the straps are just too small" prom dress. Don't worry, I even thought of a catchy tagline for my brand: "Modest Is Hottest." I told you I was good!

So I moved to New York and am finally living that dream . . . well, almost. I am at one of the top fashion companies, and my designs are definitely modest — but let's face it, when it comes to outerwear, would you want to buy a skimpy trench coat? Didn't think so.

Even though I don't have my dream job, my family is a mess, and my love life stinks, I have a feeling things are going to change. I mean, they have to soon, or I'll be forced to marry Jace. I did promise to become his wife only if I turned thirty and was still single, but I honestly didn't think it was possible. Now twenty-nine, I'm cutting it way too close. Right now I'm flying back to Utah for our Butterfly Girls reunion. And since it is the Mormon Mecca, I might find myself a modest proposal. Utah engagements can take mere weeks. Never mind, I'm not that desperate. Really.

But maybe the girls can help. We've been best friends since high school. We Butterfly Girls are not the typical Pink Ladies, although we've definitely had our share of drama. We'll laugh and cry over memories, from pageant glory to tragic endings, but the ones stored inside our butterfly box will surprise you most. We only open it when we're all together, and our lives never seem the same after.

Thanks to Michele Bell I get to give away one copy of this book!
