One of the most beloved stories of all time is coming to life in the motion picture event for the whole family, Mirror Mirror.  A fresh and funny retelling of the Snow White legend, Mirror Mirror features breakout star Lily Collins (The Blind Side) as Snow White, a princess in exile, and Oscar®-winner Julia Roberts as the evil Queen who ruthlessly rules her captured kingdom. Seven courageous rebel dwarfs join forces with Snow White as she fights to reclaim her birthright and win her Prince in this magical comedy filled with jealousy, romance, and betrayal that will capture the hearts and imaginations of audiences the world over.  The film also stars Armie Hammer (The Social Network) as the Prince, and Nathan Lane (The Birdcage) as the hapless and bungling servant to the Queen.

MIRROR MIRROR CAME OUT IN THEATERS MARCH 30!

My Hubby and I went out for a date night to watch this fun movie! Julia Roberts plays the evil Queen. She does a great job and is funny. Lily Collins plays Snow White. She is beautiful, sweet and made me smile. Armie Hammer plays Prince Alcott. He has gorgeous eyes and is a good actor. (yes honey... you are better looking and my personal Prince Charming :)

The seven dwarfs learned some good valuable lessons from Snow White. She also learned several things from them as well. It was cool that the seven dwarfs each had different personalities. There are a lot of surprises in the movie so I decided not to write spoilers in this review. One of my favorite things about Mirror Mirror are the twists on the original story. I loved the vibrant colors, intriguing costumes and also the singing at the end of the show. We were impressed with how well this was put together and enjoyed the comedy in it! This is a wonderful family movie!

Our Review...

The Chipmunks are great, we love them! This movie has laughs right from the start. When Dave is trying to get a head count of the Chipmunks and Chipettes to see if they are all there, they are running around and he can't get a good count so he says freeze and they all freeze. Dave notices Alvin is missing and all of a sudden Alvin slides down a rope and says he's already been on the ship and checked out the room and claimed dibs on the the bed by the window. I loved the part when the Chipettes go out dancing and one of them bump into a girl and they start arguing then they have a dance off. It's hilarious, and of course the Chipettes win. We love watching all the crazy stuff Alvin gets himself into. Another part we thought was good is when the guy dressed like a duck had a problem with Dave so he confronts him just to find out the man in the costume is Ian, the one that put the Chipmunks in cages and was a bad manager. When they get stranded on an island, Simon gets bit by a spider and all of sudden turns into this cool, fearless Chipmunk and Alvin has to start being the responsible one. It's interesting to see all the characters become someone different when they are trying to survive on their own.

The Blu-ray has so many special features it's going to take me a while to get through them all. But one of the things I loved is the "going overboard with the Chipmunks" It gives you a look at the how they came up with this movie and you get to hear and see old clips of the Chipmunks from when they first started. There's a munk music and dance machine that's pretty good. You can listen to all the songs in the movie and it plays the scene that song was in. There are some good songs in this movie. With all the special features you will have hours of entertainment.
This is a great movie for family night!

Our Review...

This is a really cute movie from the very beginning when you see E.B. as a young bunny playing the drums. He was so cute! We loved when he gets to go to the candy factory for the first time and how excited he was watching all the candy being made. We thought it was pretty cool seeing how all the Easter candy is made too. It would be fun to be in that candy factory! I would be like E.B and sampling all the candy. My hubby likes Russell Brand, who is the voice of E.B. so he got a kick out of all his jokes. We thought it was pretty funny when E.B. gets hit by a car then starts faking his injury so he can have a place to stay. We loved when he is telling Fred he is special and he poops jelly beans on Fred's car and says, see. The Pink Barets are these cute little ninja bunnies. They are fast and shoot people with darts that make them fall asleep. This show has so many funny parts I can't name them all, you'll just have to watch it to see them. There are some appearances by David Hasselhoff and Chelsea Handler. Anyone that watches this film will love it. It's a great family movie!

I like Blu-ray discs because there are always so many special features. This one has the world of Hop, All access with Cody Simpson, Russell Brand: kid crack up, games and plenty more. I liked the world of Hop, you get an in-depth look at E.B. and get to see Russell Brand behind the scenes acting out the voice of E.B. They also show you around the candy factory which is way cool. It was fun seeing Cody Simpson walking around on Universal Studios City Walk for the premier of the movie and seeing all the action going on there. Phil's Dance Party is funny to watch too. This cute movie is out just in time for Easter!

Original score is by Christophe Beck, Michael Rooney is the choreographer, Rahel Afiley is the costume designer, and James Thomas is the editor. SteveSaklad is the production designer, and Don Burgess, A.S.C., is the director of photography.

Our Review...

We always watched The Muppets growing up so we were excited when this movie came out! It has some really good actors in it. Jason Segel and Amy Adams are great together. There are plenty of celebrity cameo appearances including Jack Black, who is hilarious in this movie. The Muppets are trying to have a telethon to raise money but they need a celebrity to host it so they kidnap Jack Black, tie him to a chair and make him host. It was fun to see the romance between Kermit and Miss Piggy start back up. We liked all the songs in the film too (the 3 disc combo pack comes with a digital copy of the soundtrack, love it). I have always liked the song Kermit sings about rainbows so when I heard him start singing that song in this movie I got excited, it brought me back to my childhood. It was cool to see Walter get to become a part of The Muppets since he was so obsessed with them and loved The Muppets so much. This is a good family movie. No matter what age you are, everyone will love this movie!

There are tons of special features on the Blu-ray. I always like watching bloopers and this Blu-ray has a huge blooper reel, these muppets crack me up. There are plenty of deleted scenes too. We got a kick out of the theatrical spoof trailers. It was fun to watch the making of The Muppets. The Muppets tell you all about making the movie and they keep telling jokes that made us laugh. Then all the celebrities are on there saying how when they got the call asking if they wanted to be in the movie they didn't even hesitate, they all wanted to be in it because everyone loves The Muppets :)

Our Review...

We love Larry the Cable Guy!! He was so awesome to hang out with on this movie set! Seeing him in a pink tutu is priceless! This movie has lots of laughs. We thought it was funny when Larry is complaining to Nix about having to wear a tutu. She started changing him into a bunch more outfits that were worse than the tutu. Then she decided to compromise and let him wear overalls, but she still made them pink. We loved it when Larry is at the first kids house to get her tooth and all of a sudden he gets chased out of the yard by the guard pig named Crusher. That little pig is so cute!

I know because I got to met Crusher face to face and have my picture taken with this adorable pig! We felt bad for Larry when this guy keeps making him look bad and immature in front of Brooke, the love of Larry's life. She decides to marry the other guy but Larry is determined to win her back. It's fun to see all the changes Larry makes in his life as he tries to get Brooke to fall in love with him again. This is a good family movie and everyone will enjoy it.

There are some really cool special features also! Larry answers the question, Why do we loose baby teeth? The making of Tooth Fairy is pretty interesting to watch. There are deleted scenes and lots more. Come visit my post HERE of my exciting trip of me visiting the Tooth Fairy 2 movie set!
