WHIP IT DVD Review...

I got the chance to review the WHIP IT DVD. I really like Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page so when I heard they were going to be in this I was excited to see it! Drew Barrymore is also the director of this film! I liked how Bliss Cavedar (Ellen Page) was a nerd at the start of this movie but by the end she was Babe Ruthless, one of the best roller derby girls around. It makes you feel good at the end when her mom and dad come to support her in the championship when at first they didn't want anything to do with it. I also liked Drew Barrymore's character Smashley Simpson. She likes to get in fights and thrown out of the game. The special features have 9 deleted scenes and an alternate opening. I liked this movie.

On January 26th, Fox Home Entertainment released WHIP IT on DVD &
Blu-ray!

DREW BARRYMORE SKATES TO VICTORY IN HER DIRECTORIAL DEBU
Discover The Unyielding Bond Between Mother And Daughter In The Uplifting Comedy Starring Ellen Page, Arriving On Blu-ray Disc With Digital Copy And DVD January 26 From Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment

A rebellious teenager pursues her passion and discovers the meaning of true happiness in the heartwarming comedy Whip It, debuting on Blu-ray Disc with Digital Copy and DVD January 26 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Ellen Page (Juno) scores huge laughs as Bliss Cavendar, a small-town teenager with a big dream; to find her own path in the world. Tired of following in her family’s footsteps of compliance and conformity, Bliss discovers a way to put her life on the fast track...literally. She lands a spot on a rough-and-tumble roller derby team and becomes “Babe Ruthless,” the hottest thing on eight wheels. Co-starring Golden Globe nominee* Drew Barrymore (Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle) in her feature film directorial debut, Oscar winner** Marcia GayHarden (Mystic River), Juliette Lewis (Cape Fear), Daniel Stern (City Slickers) and late night show host Jimmy Fallon (Fever Pitch), Whip It is a triumphant, free-spirited comedy loaded with high-speed action and nonstop fun. The film also features appearances by real life derby girls Rachel Piplica and Kristen Adolfi, better known as Iron Maiven and Krissy Krash of the Los Angeles Derby Dolls.

Filled with hip checks and bloody noses, the Whip It Blu-ray Disc and DVD feature deleted scenes, an alternate opening and extended scenes.
