Utah's Hogle Zoo African Savanna Exhibit ...

My hubby and I had a BLAST at Utah’s Hogle Zoo! When we got there we raced right over to check out the new African Savanna Exhibit...

The African Savanna is a new 4.5 acre, mixed-species exhibit featuring giraffe, zebra, nyala, ostrich and four majestic African lions!

Rolling grasslands, dotted with trees allow the hoofed animals to mix and mingle at watering holes – much like they would in the wild.

Now, Africa is closer than you think! We loved that we could experience tongue-to-hand encounters through their public giraffe feedings... 

Our very favorite were the lions! Check out the super cool pictures we were lucky enough to get...

The female lions are so beautiful! We had fun watching them play together. Did you know you can hear a lion's roar from up to 5 miles away? We got to hear the males loud roar and it was really awesome!

Lions’ Hill features heated concrete, cool grottos, and atop the hill, perfect rock perches mighty enough for the king of beasts – two males, two females. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring guests nose-to-nose with the piercing golden eyes of these magnificent predators with the Wasatch Mountains serving as a picturesque backdrop. The lion demonstration area is presented by the Les Schwab Tire Centers.

My family is super excited that the famous Zoofari Express is back! The new C.P. Huntington replica is great. We like the wider, deeper train cars and enjoyed our train ride wrapping between the grasslands and Lions’Hill.

The African Savanna Exhibit is fascinating! We spent many hours there and even went back again at the end of our visit since we love it so much.

Next, we headed over to see the cute elephants! I remember going to the Zoo when I was a little girl with my dear Grandma. She would always buy me a ticket to ride the elephant. :) I absolutely love the elephants and had fun watching them!

After all of this excitement my hubby (big kid) was ready for his afternoon snack...

The carousel was also a lot of fun...

My hubby loves eagles, so he was happy to be able to get his picture taken in this eagle's nest...

Tuggo Dog Toy Review and Giveaway...

The Tuggo is a new one-of-a-kind dog toy that uses weight to provide tension for dogs. The design is a hard, hollow plastic ball with a rope going through the middle that can be pulled from either side providing the tug-of-war effect.

We received some of Tuggo's 10 inch balls with 4 ft rope...

We really like that these balls have a recessed screw cap allowing the ball to be filled with water. Once fully filled with water, the Tuggo weighs approximately 20 pounds. This weight provides the tension that helps promote exercise and build muscle.

Another cool thing, the water inside the ball makes a sloshing sound when the ball is being played with. This keeps your dog interested in the Tuggo for hours! 

Not only can you fill TUGGO with water, but you can leave it empty and take to the lake or pool! We love the different fun colors they come in... 

It's great to find toys that are durable enough for large dogs to play with. 

The rope on both sides is great so they both can play together at the same time!

It makes my heart sing to see them both so happy and playing together.

Military Costume Review...

The color is a really pretty blue that I love. It's great that the belt is adjustable and the skirt has an elastic waist. I am really happy that it not only looks gorgeous, but it's also very comfortable.
