Lots of April Birthdays!

We have three B-days here in my family in April! My Hubby's, mine and our oldest sons! PARTY TIME!!! YIPPEE SKIPEE!!! I'm thinking since my B-day is April 16th I will do something nice to thank my precious parents for having me! Any fun ideas of what I could do to thank my parents that day? I've heard in the past of people doing this but I forgot all the details. So I am open for all your ideas please :)

Things that help me to stay calm...

Why do I stress so much? WHY WHY WHY??? I wish I could just be calm naturally! I try so hard to go with the flow and not stress but... NO NO NO! I totally STRESS! I don't want to stress you see! I want to be calm :) So I am writing today about things that help me to stay calm...


Things that help me to stay calm:
Going to the Temple
Serving others (lots to say about this, read below)
Praying
Spending one on one time with family and friends
Burning Candles and listening to relaxing music
Taking time to smell the roses (I l♥ve fresh flowers)
Shopping (this is how I get in my power walking too)
Going out to dinner with my sweet Hubby
Reading and listening to uplifting talks on cd
Knowing my boys are home and safe
Remembering that life is Eternal and things that don't
work out here will in Heaven!

As I was writing my list of things that help me to stay calm I had several thoughts about serving others that I wanted to share so... here I go!

Serving Others:
I remember very clearly one Mother's Day my sweet Hubby telling me.."Today is all about you babe. What would you like to do today?" Guess what my answer was to him...

I said I want to go serve others today! So we packed up the kids in the car and I took fresh flowers and a card around to all the single mothers I could think of! Serving others truly brightens up my life and makes me happy!

I find the more I get outside of myself and focus on others the less my problems seem to be! It is through serving others like our precious Savior Jesus Christ did that we truly find peace and happiness!

But before I post the winners... hear all about me and my shoes :) I love my shoes! I have them all in the original boxes neatly organized in my closet! Those that didn't come with boxes then I put them in a box and label them! I like to do this to keep them nice and the dust off them! About 2 months ago I gave away a whole bag full of shoes that I didn't wear anymore! So the pairs of shoes I own now is a LOT smaller than it used to be a couple months ago! I now own 42 pairs!

My Hubby's New Toy...

Well at least my Hubby will let me sleep at night now
because we picked up his new toy yesterday. He is so
excited and happy with it! Here are some pictures...

Yeah It's Friday :)

My hubby talked me into getting him a truck. Our son's truck has been giving us lots of problems so we traded it on a truck for my Hubby. He's been wanting one for years so he's happy. We go pick it up today. He is having a lift put on it right now. I asked him why he needs that and he said "The higher up I am the better, It will be like driving a monster truck". When I told you I have 4 boys including my big boy (my hubby) I wasn't kidding :) Pictures coming soon...

My 100th post coming soon! I will have to think of some fun things to celebrate! I really enjoy blogging and having this girl retreat! Soon it will be time to celebrate with me :)
