I love beautiful art and these are absolutely BEAUTIFUL. They each potray something we will each need some time in our lives at one time or another. I don't know which one I would choose because they are all so wonderful, but security and a "Hug" from my Savior is always at the top of my list.

When I think of David, I still think of the fun side of seeing him dance with his wife at a church adult dinner party and how we enjoyed talking with them, and now its so neat to see this amazingly talented side. He truly is an amazing artist in really capturing the feelings and emotions on Christ's and the childrens faces. My favorite is def. "My Child", because I think a diff. times in our lives, we may feel like wanting to "go home", but that picture is a good reminder that he can be and is here with us on earth.

This is such an awesome giveaway. I am in awe of David Bowman's work and absolutely love his piece entitled "My Child."

What a great giveaway! Those pictures are wonderful!

How wonderful and how generous of both you and David to do this.

I really like the fact that the three pieces of art featured focus on children. If only we could protect all the innocent children in the world and shower them with lots of love and a greater sense of security in these troubled times. This artwork is inspirational and a very strong reminder that God loves us all and we are all his children. We need to do God's work for him and look after each other particularly the little children and elderly.

Happy New Year everyone and thanks again for sharing David's artwork with us.

No Way!!! I've always loved "My Child". It reminds me of how the Savior feels about my three girls. I was struck the other day that I was raising children of God...and that print shows it perfectly. Also, with the recent death of my daughter's best friend Megan, I love the tenderness of the Savior embracing the girl. I feel like Megan has really worked to comfort her family and friends and that comfort comes from the Lord.
Thanks for sharing Shauna.

Wow Shauna what a wonderfully generous giveaway! How can you not love his art. He depicts Jesus in the way I've always believed him to be. A kind, loving, gentle man. And I love the one where he's smiling. It's an expression used so seldom in pictures of Christ...and I'm sure he smiled a lot! Thanks for the chance to win one of these amazing pieces of art!

Cory CL said...

Being an art collector, I love to find new artists that can really evoke emotion out of their work. I hope that David continues to be inspired and continues to paint with his heart...and not what publishers demand of most artists these days. I hope to see more of David's work in the future, especially if one of them landed in my home ;)

Thank you for commenting on my blog and inviting me on over here. These prints are amazing. I love the first one especially. The smile lines around Jesus' eyes are a more accurate portrayal of His character than the "always-so-serious" pics we see. I believe He is a happy man, and only solemn when the occasion arises.

I'm sorry--I got so excited I didn't read completely through the post. I usually have to really look at a picture for quite awhile before I can discover what exactly I love or feel about it. With "My Child" I was just completely overwhelmed by an immediate feeling of tenderness followed by a rush of tears. I am rarely blinsided like that---what beautiful, beautiful work!!
